Part-Time Cake Decorator Needed

Minimum 2 years experience as a decorator/wedding cake designer. Candidate must be able to perform basic and advanced cake decorating skills, prep cakes, enjoy being creative, deliver great customer service and have the flexibility to work day, evening, weekend & holiday hours. Applicant must also have a valid driver's license to deliver and set up wedding cakes. Applicant will also be required to demostrate decorating skills prior to hiring.

Cake Decorator Job Description:

- Decorate cakes, cupcakes and other baked goods
- Create fondant, chocolate and royal icing decorations
- Prepare custom orders which includes filling cakes and carving cakes into shapes
- Maintain inventory and production area cleanliness
- Clean equipment and utensils

Required Experience:

- Minimum 2 years working experience decorating cakes
- Must have knowledge of buttercream, whipped icing, ganache and fondant (covering of cakes is a plus)
- Icing cakes and cupcakes
- Borders, piping, writing and flower decorating
- Knowledge of stacking and customizing cakes (carving cakes into shapes a plus)
- Working knowledge of basic equipment including but not limited to, mixers, blenders, food processors and smallwares equipment
- Working knowledge of health, safety and sanitation procedures
- Must be able to work day, evening, weekend and holiday hours
